We made it!!
Well, we made it to Costa Rica! After getting up at 4 a.m. and flying all day, we landed without any delays, lost baggage, or problems with immigration and customs. Thank you Jesus! We drove right to the school I will be teaching at, Sojourn Academy, to meet some of the awesome people I will be working with. Then we went to my apartment, which is so cute! I will definitely be posting some pictures of it soon. After moving in we went to an authentic Costa Rican restaurant and had chicken and black beans and rice (of course). And now we are exhausted and are going to bed. Overall it has been an amazing day and I am so excited! This country is so beautiful and I love my aparment and roommate. I'm just so thrilled to have this opportunity to serve Christ and I can't wait to see how He uses it to further His kingdom! Thanks to all for your prayers and cards! Love you all :)

Hey, Tricia
This blog was forwarded to me by Miz Mary. I, too, am very excited to hear what the Lord has planned for you in Costa Rica and beyond. I'll be passing on your updates to your friends back at Harrison High, if Hannah doesn't beat me to it! Our prayers are with you.

Tricia,
Congratulations. You'll be a good example to those kids and a great teacher. Looking forward to hearing about it.

Hey,
I'm so glad you've set up a blog for us to hear what God is doing down there! I'm really glad we got to go to lunch before you went and I know a little about you. I am amazed by your courage and faith and I can't wait to see how God is going to use it for His glory!

Fantastic! Looking forward to what God does through you. We are praying for you, and don't worry, we will keep Hannah locked up while you are gone.

Sup Tricia,
You go! Praise GOD you're there and ready to take JESUS CHRIST to them.
Tell Dad to get his rear back to the West Side and get to work. Time for him to quit following you around being a bum. -- LOL.
I thought I would remember what you need in the care packages but all I can remember is 2 of 3 ... good peanut butter, one I ain't mentioning, but what's the other?
Gonna miss your smiling face but I am so happy you are allowing GOD to use you in this way.
Your parents and all of us who have known you so long are incredibly proud of you.
Serving Together many miles apart,

The world becomes a much smaller place when you begin to travel it, outside of our own that is. God's blessings on you Tricia! We are so looking forward to ALL he has in store for you!
And tell your Dad you'll be fine. We've hire Borg to keep an eye on you. Sadly, his flight was redirected and he missed the olympics where he was to compete in the "Rickshaw Toss". Tough break for his country as well since he was favored to win! Poor guy. :(
