So we had an earthquake...first time I'd ever really experienced one. We have many tremors a day here, and I've only felt a few...but this was an actual earthquake. Like a 6.2... We did feel it pretty much. Kim and I were having a meeting and just sat there and looked at each other when it was happening. Everything was shaking and the concrete walls and buildings were swaying. It also made a weird rumbling noise. It was pretty crazy. Then a Tico teacher came running by and said we needed to get out of the building and run out into an open area...which we did. We didn't realize how serious it was at first...and I think we were in shock. Thankfully it didn't hit our area as hard as it did more near to the volcano. 100 houses were destroyed, many were hurt and so far two girls have died in a land slide. There are still people stuck in a cave-in. We've had 4 aftershocks and hopefully there will be no more. Please pray for those that lost family and their houses. Muchas gracias :)
