So this weekend has been really great. On Friday we had two birthday parties, one for a teacher at school and one for Kate. We ate a lot of good food at both parties and then went to play games. Saturday was great. Kim and I went to this park in the middle of San Jose. The weather is absolutely beautiful right now, because it is summer. I know...I'm sorry, I know everyone back home is suffering because of the cold. On Saturday night we went to a young adult group and met a lot of new people. We went out for ice cream afterwards (my favorite). Then when I got home, my my "mom" and "sister" were laying in bed watching tv. They told me to come get under the covers with them. lol, I was feeling so awkward because you do not go in someone else's parents' bed. I told them that and they were laughing like that was a crazy thing. lol differences in opinion on personal space :) I'm learning, I laid with them in bed! Today was great. I'm going to this assembly of God church. lol so sometimes I'm not sure if they are speaking in Spanish or in tongues...lol are they one in the same? I love the church though. The music is great and I'm starting to understand the pastor really well. Then we ate lunch and my and my "mami" were practicing our salsa dancing. Then I went and played volleyball for four hours with a bunch of people from another church and almost no one spoke English. It was great practice. I feel like God is blessing me in being able to understand more and more of Spanish each day....and for that I am thankful. Anyway, so I have some things to do for tomorrow...so I must go!
